Meet Recap

Congratulations to the 2016 Men’s Cross Country team for their outstanding performance at the MHSAA Regional meet on Saturday. Soft course and unseasonably warm temperatures kept times down, but today was all about place. Sam Corbin suffered an injury on this very course at regionals a year ago, but this year he met the challenge and led his team with a 6th place finish. Ross Schmiedeknecht actually ran a person best time on the tough course to finish 10th, followed by Kody Smith who finished 11th. Luke Tarr(17th), and Tyler Vermillion(25th) ran gutsy races to round out the scoring for the Vikings. Our all-important 6th-man Jordan Reynolds ran a season best time to finish 31st while fellow freshman teammate Joel Carlson did a great job to bring home the honor to race at the MHSAA State Finals at Michigan International Speedway next Saturday. Good job guys!
